Three Domains of Power
Characters are built upon three fundamental Domains: Mind, Body, and Spirit. These Domains represent broad aspects of a character's potential and form the foundation for character growth and balance.
- Players choose Two Attributes for Each Domain
- Attributes are a measure of a character’s overall effectiveness when facing challenges
- Attributes reflect a character’s personality, informing:
- Roleplay
- Ethical Alignment
- Skill Choices

Skills and Mastery
Skills complement and combine with Attributes. They represent training or innate talents in specific areas. Players assign Mastery Levels to Skills, which unlock Skill Bonuses and allow for progression.
- Skills contribute to a character’s specific effectiveness when facing challenges
- Skill Mastery is a measure of a character’s preparedness, innate understanding, or education tied to specific experiences or awakening
Customizable Abilities
Abilities are crafted by players and tied to Skills. How many Abilities a character has and the power level of those Abilities, depend on the Skill’s Mastery Level and Attribute's Bonus Score, offering a personalized toolkit for every character.
Effort System
The Effort system adds a dynamic resource management layer to gameplay, enabling players to perform extraordinary feats and sustain powerful Abilities:
Domain Effort
- Characters have three primary Effort pools based on their Domains:
- Stamina: Average of the two Body Domain Attribute Bonuses
- Focus: Average of the two Mind Domain Attribute Bonuses
- Resolve: Average of the two Spirit Domain Attribute Bonuses.
Inspiration and Adrenaline
- Characters gain temporary Effort in the form of Adrenaline (in combat) and Inspiration (out of combat). These resources are readily available for short bursts of activity or creativity but are not as effective as Domain Effort.
