The areas on the far side of the station have hundreds of crisscrossing elevated train tracks that stop the sunlight from reaching the streets below. People call it the Shadow Bodega. This area remains relatively cool during the day and people set-up kiosks where you can buy everything from cheap firearms to rough toilet paper. Anyone with a folding table and something worth selling can setup shop — if they have the guts and gear to protect themselves from being robbed or run off.

The vendors of the market start clearing out during the heat of the day to ensure they are gone by Showtime. The fighting in this area gets extreme even by Showtime standards. In the evening, after the fighting stops, parties from The Terrace and The Rumble spill out under The El where food carts, drug dealers, and fashion designers come to sell their wares. This area has entrances to the Big Bodega, OutMaht Market, and the Tunnel Complex all of which lead to the Concourse. The area under The El was technically intended for cars to approach from the far side of the station, but the narrow, winding, crisscrossing streets are congested with Hotrods blasting music, kiosks, and the pylons holding up The El.
